Minutes of the business meeting
of March 2, 2010
I. The business meeting was called to order at 6:41 PM by Vice-president Steve Grenot.
Members attending: Vice-president Steve Grenot, Secretary Reed Ostrander, Members Chip Borona, Banks Edwards, Marian Johnson, Bill Little, Jackie Nelson, Charles Tucker.
A. Announcements
1. Steve and Bill will meet at Bill’s house, 5227 Bellview Rd., Saturday Mar. 6 to check the trailer contents. Other members are free to attend. Call Steve or Bill for time.
2. The next run night will be at bill’s house at 6:30 PM, March 16. See map handed out at March 2 meeting for directions or call Bill.
B. Minutes of the previous meeting of Feb. 2, 2010 were read by Secretary Reed Ostrander.
1.Banks moved acceptance and seconded by Charles.
a. The minutes were accepted as written.
C. The treasurer’s report was not presented..
D. Old Business
1. Show Coordinator Reed presented the plan for the Fairhope layout and discussed possible modifications at the show. We will not know our room position or size until we arrive at the show. Ron requested space which will allow for a 16x20 ft layout with the rope line around it. If we get more space we can enlarge a bit.
2. Bill noted that he is willing to serve as treasurer if Dennis wishes to step down. A letter of resignation from Dennis that must be accepted by the membership is a prerequisite to Bill taking over. Bill or any other candidate can then be elected to fill the Treasurer vacancy.
3. Web Master banks noted that he has changed the address of our web page to phomrc.com
4. Banks noted that Anderson connectors to replace the Cinch-Jones plugs on the modules are $0.60 each. We will need 2 to replace each Cinch-Jones plug or eight per module table at $4.80 per module table. There are 37.5 tables x 8 connectors per table = 300 connectors x $0.60 each = $180.00. I (DRO) suggest we get 340 connectors at $0.60 so we have a few extras ($204.00). Eighty five should be yellow, red, white and black each. Additional plugs (40) in two other colors should be ordered for tables needing extra connections ($24.00) for a total of $228.00.
a. Each member is responsible for purchasing the needed connectors for his table(s) from the Club at cost and installing them.
b. The Club will be responsible for installing new connectors on the corners, Duke’s, bridge and yard tables.
1) Banks will order the Anderson connectors for the Club.
E. New Business
1. Chairman Steve of the Permanent Layout Committee asked for volunteers to help design a layout for the clubhouse.
a. Chip, Charles and Reed volunteered.
F. The meeting was adjourned at 7:30PM
