Minutes of the Business Meeting
June 6, 2019
I. The business meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by President Charles Tucker.
Members attending: President Charles Tucker, Vice-president Jerry DuPont, Treasurer Bill Little, Secretary Reed Ostrander. Members: Howard Cowgill, Banks Edwards, Dustin Kelmer, Andrew Keiderling, Richard Simmons; Visitor: Chuck Mudford
A. Announcements
1. The next run session(s) will be at 6:00 PM on June 24 and July 1. Grill on at 5:30 pm. Inform Bill if you intend to eat.
2. The next business meeting will be held at 6:30 PM at the Clubhouse on July 8, 2019. Grill on at 5:30 pm. Inform Bill if you intend to eat.
3. The next work session will be at 3:00PM on Friday June 28, 2019.
a. Widen Bill’s north track curves and improve inside south curve and curved turnout.
4. Chip has had operation. Spleen was saved, cancer apparently all removed, will be out of hospital Friday.
5. Thanks to Jerry and Reed for continuing work on roundhouse modules.
a. Track feed wire drops put in where new double slip turnouts were installed and some turnout motors reinstalled. Work continues.
6. Reed will present show on history of steam power and railroads on the 17th. Modified from Leisure Learning presentation.
7. Flomaton show will be on the 28th of September.
8. Dothan show not announced but probably second weekend in September.
9. Interstate Fair October 13th to 26th. Set up 13th to 16th. Fair opens 17th, we close Saturday 26th.
B. Minutes of the previous meeting of May 6, 2019 were read by Secretary Reed Ostrander.
1. Banks moved acceptance and was seconded by Jerry.
a. The minutes were accepted as written.
C. The Treasurer’s report was presented by Bill Little.
1. As of this date there is $641.44 in the treasury.
a. Jerry moved acceptance and was seconded by Banks.
b. The report was accepted as presented.
D. Old Business
1. Continue work on Roundhouse.
2. Continue work on Bill’s curves.
3. Jerry will present workshop on Building Trees July 15th at his home at 6:30 PM.
E. New Business
1. Are there members who could make Leisure Learning presentations?
2. Christmas NAS Children’s Party?
a. Sean make contact.
3. Christmas Ronald McDonald run?
a. Charles coordinates.
4. Christmas train sets?
