Minutes of the Business Meeting

June 4, 2018

I. The business meeting was called to order at 6:32 PM by Vice President Steve Grenot.

            Members attending: Vice-president Steve Grenot, Treasurer Bill Little, acting Secretary Reed Ostrander, Members: Jerry DuPont. Andy Keiderling, Richard Simmons

            A. Announcements

                        1. The next meeting will be held at 6:30PM at Bill’s train shed on July 2, 2018

2. The next work/run session will be on at 6:00 PM at Bill’s train shed June 16, 2018 for a demonstration on improving coupler operation by Reed.

3. The next work session will be at 6:00 PM at Jerry’s home on June 23 for a demonstration on putting a decoder in a Athern diesel by Jerry.

B. The minutes of May 7, 2018 were read by Vice President Steve Grenot as prepared by Reed Ostrander

                        1. Jerry moved acceptance and was seconded by Richard.

                                    a. The minutes were accepted as corrected.

            C. The treasurer’s report was presented by Bill Little.

                        1. As of this date there is $1375.77 in the treasury.

                        2. Still need to pay $300 for insurance

3. Nine trains were signed up for Toys for Tots. Please pay for them as soon as possible: $60.00 for each set.

                                    a.  Reed moved acceptance and was seconded by Richard.

                                    b. The report was accepted as presented.

            D. Old Business

1. Need to get the trailer to Jerry’s to load repaired (new legs, etc.) corners and off-load yard.

                                    a. Bill will bring the trailer over Saturday, May 12 at 10:00 AM.

2. Need to replace batteries in DCS 100 and 150. Jerry will demonstrate the method.

                        3. Show dates:

a. August 18, 2018, NMRA Southeastern Region Division 4 Mini Meet, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

                                    b. Dothan Wiregrass Train show - September 8 & 9

                                    c. Flomaton Train days - September 29

                                    d. Interstate Fair - October 25 - November 3

                                    e. Hadji Show - December 5 & 6
