Minutes of the Ad Hoc Business Meeting
of July 21, 2012
I. The business meeting was called to order at 10:25 AM by President Chip Borona.
Officers attending: President Chip Borona, Treasurer Bill Little, Secretary Reed Ostrander,
Members Attending: Banks Edwards, Joe Garcia, Bob Murphy, Richard Simmons.
A. Announcements
1. The next run session will be on July 31 at 6:00 PM at Bill Little's.
2. The next meeting will be held at 6:30PM at Trains by Johnson's on August 7, 2012.
B. New Business
1. Reed made a motion to submit the red line DC controller for repair. If it cannot be repaired, the red line DC controller should be removed from the control cabinet. The yellow line DC controller should be maintained for use unless it fails and cannot be repaired.
a. The motion was seconded by Banks and passed after discussion.
2. Banks made a motion to use 3 Tortoise switch machines to control the turnouts and polarity on the red line throat leads.
a. The motion failed for lack of a second.
C. It should be noted that this was an informal meeting due to a lack of a quorum and prior notification. The approved motion A.1. above must be accepted by a full meeting of the Club at a future time to be an official action of the Club.
D. The meeting was adjourned at 11:18 AM.
