Minutes of the Business Meeting

of July 1, 2014

The business meeting was called to order at 6:40 PM by President Reed Ostrander.

Officers attending: Treasurer Bill Little, Secretary Chip Borona

Members: Banks Edward and Sean O’Brien

A quorum of members were not present.

I. The Minutes of the previous meeting June 3rd, were read by Secretary Chip Borona.

A.     The minutes of the May & June meeting were discussed. 

a.       At the June meeting, there were not enough members present to approve the May minutes so they were not approved at that time. 

b.      Because a quorum of members were not present at the July meeting, the June minutes were not approved.

III. The Treasurer’s report was presented by Bill Little

A.     As of this date there is $2,186.90 in the treasury.

a.       Because a quorum of members were not present, the June Treasurer’s report was not approved.

IV. Announcements

   A. The next business meeting will be held at 6:30PM at Trains by Johnson on Tuesday 5th of August.

   B. The next run session will be at 6:00PM at Bill’s on Tuesday July 15^th.  Bring food to cook.

   C. The next work session will be Tuesday July 15^th at 1PM at Bill’s train shed.  Bill will leave the gate on the side street open.

V. Old Business

A.     Status of module repair and modifications. Lots of progress has been accomplished.  All mods have been rewired (color wire) except for the farm mod.

B.     Status of roundhouse modules. No progress has been made

C.     Calendar of events: Flomaton 26-27 Sept.  Tippy Wagner is Chairman this year.

D.     The suggestion of incorporating Club mods into a private (club member) layout was brought up.

a.       Issues are who pays for the mod(s) if damaged (i.e. fire) and access when removing the mod(s) for a show

VI. New Business

A.     Drivers for Dothan show.

a.       Chip (3 days)

b.      Reed (3 days)

c.       Sean (Sat & Sun)

d.      Bill (Fri only)

B.     Chip is to send out an email requesting attendees for the Dothan Show.

V. Club Welfare

A. Flowers were sent for the Al LeBlanc family.
