Minutes of Business Meeting

of  February 6, 2023


I. The business meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by President Charles Tucker.

A.Officers attending: President Charles Tucker, Vice-president Steve Grenot, Treasurer Bill Little, Secretary Gerald Russo.

B Members: Bob Canavello, Jerry Dupont, Banks Edwards, Ben Kelmer, Dustin Kelmer, Chuck Mudford, Sean O’Brien, Reed Ostrander, Richard Simmons.

 

II. Minutes of the previous meeting of January 2nd were read by Secretary Gerald Russo.

A. Corrections to minutes: Treasury balance: $2,381.43.

     1. The minutes were moved and accepted.

B. The treasurer’s report was presented by Treasurer Bill Little.

            2. As of this date there is $1,181.43 in the treasury.

 

3. Announcements:

A. Next Meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. March 6, 2023

B. Next run session(s) February 13, 20, 27, 2023

C. Thank you to Bill for his hospitality!

D. Many thanks to Sean for securing the “new” trailer for us. Thanks also to the others who made the purchase possible!!

E. Mobile Train Show March 4 -5 with setup on March 3. We need specific commitments!!

F. Scale Trains presentation: Feb. 13, Ferry Pass Fire Department @ 7pm.

G. Welcome to visitors

 

4. Old Business

A. Work on finishing the new yard and powering the sidings on Green.

            1. Turnout into the yard on the north end needs some attention.

            2. Also the yard needs some more drops on the north end to fix some dead spots in the track.

            3.Reminder that the PR42 on the bridge has a 2-second delay prior to re-powering.

B. Finish the Farm module. - (a few minor details)

C. Work on repairs to the Club layout.

 

5. New Business

A. Jesse Shealy has met the requirements for membership.

            1. Motion made for acceptance, 2nd and approved.

B. Review and finalize the Protocol for setting up the modular layout. Jerry Russo has printed up the latest draft upon which we need to vote.

             1. Protocol reviewed, changes indicated & approved.

C. We need to reload the old trailer and move it to Terry Tucker’s so we can load the new trailer. We may need to add some additional strips to the sides near the front for strap connections. There may be other tasks such as making wood transition boards for the landing ramp and greasing of bearings?

D. Continue work on preparing for Operating sessions.

6. Club Welfare

Our prayers are with Susan. We continue to lift up Steve, Donna, Rick Simmons, and Reed Ostrander.
