The
business meeting was called to order at 6:26 PM by President Reed Ostrander
Officers attending: Vice-Pres. Steve Grenot, Secretary Chip Borona and Treasurer
Bill Little. Members: Jerry Dupont,
Banks Edwards, Rick Simmons, Charles Tucker and Donnie Dixon.
There were no guests in attendance.
I.
Reading of the Minutes
A. The minutes of the previous meeting January 19th were read by
Secretary Chip Borona.
a.
The approval of the minutes were moved
by Banks, seconded by Jerry and approved by the membership.
II.
Treasurer’s Report
A.
The
Treasurer’s report was read to the club by Bill Little reporting that the
current balance is $609.50.
a.
The

membership.
III.
Announcements
A.
The
next business meeting will be held at 6:30PM at Bill’s Train Shed on
Tuesday March 1st, 2016.
a.
THERE
WILL BE NO FOOD PROVIDED AS BILL WILL BE TEACHING.
However, Bill will leave the gate on the side street open.
B.
The
next run sessions will be at Bill’s Train Shed,
Tuesday February 16th and
Tuesday February 23rd each at 6:00 PM.

IV.
Old Business
A.
A work
crew is needed to move the AC unit that is at Marie’s shed and bring it to
Bill’s Train Shed.
a.
Steve
and Banks will pick-up the replacement AC unit and replace the broken one at
Bill’s.
B.
Status
of the Engine Service-Roundhouse Modules
a.
The
Club revisited the strength & support of the frame to prevent warping.
i.
The
Club discussed the pro and cons of how to modifying the modules. Jerry suggested
and the Club approved to remove the underside skin and the paper honeycomb and
replace the back of the top skin by gluing on 5mm luan then sealing the surface.
Additional ½ inch plywood ribs would be added to create a more rigid platform.
ii.
Charles and Steve will investigate the amount and condition of the Club’s scrap
lumber at Marie’s and up in the rafters of Bill’s train Shed.
Charles agreed to provide at his expense new lumber if there is
insufficient lumber for the re-build.
iii.
It has
been suggested to begin the rework Saturday February 6th at 10am at
Bill’s Train Shed. An email notice
will be sent out to confirm time Date, Time and Location.
v.
Chip
has requested that the folding legs he donated to the Club for the modules be
returned to him.
b.
Jerry,
Charles and Chip built a storage box for the Roundhouse on Saturday, January 30th
.
C.
Foley
Train Show
a.
Dates
are March 12-13, Saturday from 10AM to 5PM and Sunday from 10AM to 4PM
b.
Setup
on Friday March 11th as
early as possible. Reed will find
out when we can get in.
c.
Dave
Ramirez is the Foley Train Show layout organizer, replacing Charles Boyer,
d.
As in
the past, we will setup a 3x2 plus the 4 corners

A.
The
suggestion of attending the Tallahassee Train Show as a Club was discussed.
There were too many members out of town to go as a Club.
