Minutes of the Business Meeting

 of  4 August 2025

 

I. The business meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by President Charles Tucker.
     A. Officers attending: President Charles Tucker, Vice-president Steve Grenot,
Treasurer Bill Little, Secretary Gerald Russo.
     B.
Members attending: Garrett Allison, Opie Benton, Bob Canavello, Jerry Dupont, Banks Edwards, Michael Eells, Chuck Mudford, Sean O’Brien, Reed Ostrander, Jesse Shealy, Barb & Sam Shilling, Mark Soltero.


II. Minutes of the previous meeting of July 7
th were read by Secretary Gerald Russo.

     A. Corrections to minutes: Flomation (spelling corrected).
The minutes were moved and accepted.
     B. The treasurer’s report was presented by Treasurer Bill Little.
As of this date there is $2,524.92 in the treasury.

III. Announcements:

     A. Next Meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. September 8, 2025

     B. Next run sessions will be on August 11, 18, 25.
August 18 will be an operating session at 6 pm.
     C
. We still have 2024 and 2025 cars available. Please avail yourselves of the opportunity to add some unique cars to your fleet!!
     D. No date for
the Flomation show as of yet. (Sept. 27)

. Old Business
     A. Repairs need to be made here in the club house.
(See separate sheet.)
     B. Continue work on p
reparing for Operating sessions.
     C. Continue discussion about the trailer wrap.

Motion for magnetic signs, 2nd & approved, decision to be made on size and design.
    D. What else needs to be accomplished over the summer?

 Follow-up items from last meeting:
   
2. Remodeling trailer storage. (will follow-up when trailer is empty)
          3. Plexiglas for show modules. (approx. $50 each, may consider luan instead)
    4.
Possible replacement of club house Roundhouse yard with 3ea. 4’x4’ modules.
                a. Motion, 2nd & approved to build following Fair show.
     E. Decision as to whether we go to the Dothan show.
Motion, 2nd and approval to not attend.

. New Business
     A. Proposal from a business plann
ing the Employee’s Christmas Party for Navy Federal.
          1. President Tucker:
"There is a proposal for us to supply a winter/Christmas themed layout for the Navy Federal
Employee's Christmas party on December 19 and 20, 6
-10 p.m. We have my 4X8' layout
which
we have used for Christmas parties on Main-side and at the Ronald McDonald House. This
layout has places to add extensions. This next week I will visit the venue and check out exactly

how much space is
available. Worst case we can use just the 4X8 without extensions. They want
t
o compensate us for any and all expenses plus a sizeable donation to the club. We need to
make a proposal"

C. What else needs to be accomplished over the summer?

Club WEB page is currently down, current price is too high.

Currently working on club module standards.

Our trailer tag was placed on the N scale club trailer, their club will correct.

     We continue to lift up Steve, Reed, and Patricia Dupont.
