Minutes of Business Meeting of:

December 2, 2024

I.. The business meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by President Charles Tucker.

      A. Officers attending: President Charles Tucker, Vice-president Steve Grenot, Treasurer Bill Little, Secretary Gerald Russo.

      B. Members attending : Bob Canavello, Jerry Dupont, Banks Edwards, Michael Eells, Chuck Mudford, Reed Ostrander, Jesse Shealy.

      C. Visitors: Sam & Barbara Shilling.

II. Minutes of the previous meeting of 11/4 were read by Secretary Gerald Russo.

      A. Corrections to minutes: none. The minutes were moved and accepted.

      B. The treasurer’s report was presented by Treasurer Bill Little. As of this date there is $2,469.75 in the treasury.

III. Announcements:

       A. Next Meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. January 6, 2025.

       B. Next run sessions will be on December 9, 16, 23 & 30. December 16 will be an operating session starting at 6 pm.

       C. Thank you to Bill for his hospitality!

       D. The Mobile Show is March 8-9 with set up on Friday, March 7.

       E. Pensacola Rail Fest is April 25-27, 2025.

IV. Old Business

      A. Repairs need to be made on the club house layout. (See separate sheet.)

      B. Continue work on preparing for Operating sessions - currently installing new turnouts.

          1. (Work is in progress) (All proposed turnouts have been installed).

          2. Reed suggested the use of manual turnout controls for the newly installed turnouts.

          3. Gerald Russo has donated 12ea. Tortoise switch machines to the club for use.

          4. Suggestion for the 2nd Monday in January for work on powering the new turnouts.

      C. Eight new patch tracks have been installed on the show modules but with many more to go. Each set (red/yellow) took nearly an hour. Suggestion to add additional 9” patch track sections at the Mobile show.

      D. I spoke with Accurail about a 2025 car. I had them price a three bay covered hopper car, yellow with blue lettering and the same club logo at $23.90 plus shipping. They said there would be no problem getting them by the end of March is time for the Train fest. I

am waiting for a mock-up of the car. (Approved last business meeting)

V. New Business

      A. Nomination and election of 2025 PMRC HO Div. Club Officers. Motion to reelect the 2024 Club Officers for 2025, 2nd & approved.

          1.  President – Charles Tucker

          2. Vice President – Steve Grenot

          3 Secretary – Gerald Russo

          4. Treasurer – Bill Little

     B. Are there any new modules in the planning stage or under construction?  Jesse is currently working on a new show module.

    C. Comments from the President:  We have had a good and productive past year.

     D. omments from Vice President: none

     E. Comments from Secretary: none 

     F. Comments from the Treasurer: Charles will follow-up on tags for the old trailer.

     G. Comments by any other members. Gerald Dupont: Will need assistance with the logging modules, pick-up from Tucker’s from the trailer and transported and unloaded at his house for repairs (Sunday 15, noon)

IV. Club Welfare

We continue to lift up Steve, Donna, Reed, and Rick Simmons’ family.
