MINUTES OF BUSINESS MEETING

OF September 9, 2024

I.  The business meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by President Charles Tucker. 
     A. Members attending: President Charles Tucker, Vice-president Steve Grenot, Treasurer Bill Little, Secretary Gerald Russo. 
     B. Members attending: Bob Canavello, Banks Edwards, Jason Godwin, Logan Godwin, Chuck Mudford, Reed Ostrander, Bob Tribble. 

II. Minutes of the previous meeting of August 5th were read by Secretary Gerald Russo. 
     A. Corrections to minutes: none. The minutes were moved and accepted. 
     B. The treasurer’s report was presented by Treasurer Bill Little. As of this date there is $3,234.86 in the treasury. 

III. Announcements: 
     A. Next Meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on October 7, 2024 
     B. Next run session(s) September 16, 23, 30. NOTE September 16 will be an operating session beginning at 6 pm. 
     C. Thank you to Bill for his hospitality! 
     D. The Flomaton Show is September 28 with set up on Friday September 27. (Vote to attend by members) Sean will tow the trailer. 
     E. The Interstate Fair is October 17-27 with set up Oct. 13-16. We will be in our usual location! 
     F. The dates form the Dothan Show are Sept. 20-22. We are not planning to go and take the layout. (Decision to not to attend) 

IV. Old Business 
    A. Repairs need to be made here on the club layout. See separate sheet. 
    B. Continue work on preparing for Operating sessions- currently installing new turnouts. (Work is in progress.) 
    C. Accurail has notified me that the cars are going to production. They should be done by the end of the month. I need a list of 6-digit numbers for the decals for renumbering. Please email me your numbers ASAP!! Price per car will be determined when the shipping cost is figured. ($22-25 my guess) 

V. New Business 
     A. We need to begin preparing the joint tracks for use when we set up at the Fair. 
     B. Are there any new modules in the planning stage or under construction? 
     C. Chuck has had an estimate of $300 to have an elegant and secure donation box built similar to the one the N-Scale Division has. (Motion, 2nd & approved) 
     D. Bridge module has been repaired. (Thanks Chuck)
     E. Comments by President:  Reed is doing better
     F. Comments by any other members.None 

VII. Club Welfare 
We continue to lift up Steve, Donna, Reed, and Rick Simmons’ family.
