Minutes of Business Meeting
November 7, 2022
I. The business meeting was called to
order at 6:30 PM by President Charles Tucker.
A. Officers attending: President Charles Tucker, Vice-president Steve Grenot, Treasurer Bill Little, Secretary Gerald Russo.
B. Members: Jerry Dupont, Banks Edwards, Dustin Kelmer, Chuck Mudford, Sean
O’Brien, Reed Ostrander, Richard Simmons, Bob Tribble. Visitor Mark Soltero.
II.
Minutes of the previous meeting of Oct. 3rd were read by Secretary Gerald Russo.
A. Corrections to
minutes: None
1. The minutes were moved and accepted.
B. The treasurer’s
report was presented by Treasurer Bill Little.
1. As of this date there is
$2,646.06 in the treasury.
III.
Announcements:
A. Next
Meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. December 5, 2022.
B. Next run
session(s) November 14, 21, 28,
C. Thank you
to Bill for his hospitality!
D. Chip’s
Funeral will be November 12. Visitation begins at 10:00 and the service begins
at 11; at The Point Baptist Church at 13801 Innerrarity Point.
E. TrainFest
is November 12-13 with setup on Friday, November 11 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
IV. Old Business
A. Work on
finishing the new yard and powering the sidings on Green. Turnout into the yard
on the north end needs some attention.
Also the yard needs some more drops on the north end to fix some dead spots in
the track.
B. Finish
the Farm module. - (a few minor details).
V. New Business
A.
Nominations for officers for 2023 need to be made tonight. Further nominations
and the election will take place at the December meeting.
1. Recommendation to nominate same officers as last year.
B.
WE MUST GET COMMITMENTS TONIGHT FOR WORKERS FOR THE
TRAIN FEST.
C. Continue
work on preparing for Operating sessions currently installing new turnouts.
1. Load the trailer at 10am. (Friday)
2. Run Chips New Haven train at 11am. Saturday.
3. Need to level the modules, work on the bridge
a. Show Superintendent – Jerry Dupont.
b. Recommendation to have the show
banners re-done.
D. Comments
by President
1. Copies of the current meeting agenda will be forwarded when the President’s internet is back up.
E. Comments by any other members.
1. Shawn and Russo will rebuild the yard cart.
2. John Sumner and Russo will coordinate the purchase of Plexiglas for the show
modules. (Russo and Tribble will take care of Plexiglas for the club layout).
VI. Club Welfare
A. Our
prayers are with Susan. We continue to lift up Steve, Donna, Rick Simmons and
Reed Ostrander.
