Minutes of Business
Meeting of March 4, 2024
I. The business meeting
was called to order at 6:30 PM by President Charles Tucker.
A. Officers
attending: President Charles Tucker, Treasurer Bill Little, Secretary Gerald
Russo.
B. Members: Opie Benton, Bob Canavello, Banks Edwards, Michael Eells, Jason Godwin, Logan Godwin, Chuck Mudford, Sean O’Brien, Reed Ostrander, Jesse Shealy, Mark Soltero.
II. Minutes of the previous meeting
of Feb. 5th were read by Secretary Gerald Russo.
A.
Corrections to minutes: None
1. The minutes were moved and accepted.
B. The treasurer’s report was presented by Treasurer Bill Little.
1. As of this date there is $3,108.79 in the treasury.
III. Announcements:
A. Next
Meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. April 1, 2024 (No Fooling)
B. Next run
session(s) March 11, 18, 25, 2024
C. Thank you
to Bill for his hospitality!
D. Train
fest is May 18-19 with set up on Friday, May 17, 2024.
E. Many
thanks to all who helped with the Mobile Show!
IV. Old Business
A. Repairs
need to be made here on the club house layout. See separate sheet.
B. Continue
work on preparing for Operating sessions- currently installing new turnouts.
(Work is in progress.)
1. Operations cars and buildings have been labeled.
2. Reed to do an Ops demo on 3/11.
3 Thank you to Tribble & Russo for repairing and upgrading all the cars to be
used for operations.
V. New Business
A. Report on
progress on locations and cars to be delivered during the operating sessions.
Jesse has been researching this.
B. Comments
on the Mobile Show.
1. Need a simple set-up/take-down list
2. The cabinet cables have been labeled
3. Train “run list” must be followed (date & run-times)
4. Setting up trains must be done on the yard, not on the mains
5. All modules must be leveled prior to connecting
C. We need a
list of volunteers for the Pensacola RailFest Show.
D. Trailer Issues:
1. Leak from the trailer roof (to be repaired)
2. Several lights out
3 Need “Flex seal” on leaks
4. Need to check out trailer electrical connections
5. Motion to complete repairs, 2nd & approval.
E. Comments by President:
1. Charles welcomes a new grandson, congratulations!
2. Richard’s pet-scan is OK
3. Chip’s widow needs the modules picked up.
4. Need to build 12 ea. 2’ sides for the show module yard (Russo)
5. Suggestion to build “new member” club handbook.
6. Welcome new members Seth Smith and son Jacob Hancock (Jr. member)
VI. Club Welfare
A. We
continue to lift up Steve, Donna, Rick Simmons, Reed Ostrander, Sue and Howard’s
family.
