MINUTES OF BUSINESS MEETING
jUNE 6, 2022
I. The business meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by Vice-President Steve GRENOT.
A. Officers attending: Vice-President Steve GRENOT, Treasurer Bill Little, Secretary Gerald RUSSO.
B. Members attending: Bob Canavello, Jerry Dupont, Banks Edwards, Chuck Mudford, Richard Simmons, John Sumner, Bob Tribble
II. Announcements:
A. The next meeting will be at 6:30 PM on July 11, 2022.
B. Next run sessions: June 13, 20, 27.
C. Thank you to Bill Little for his hospitality.
D. Note that some new controlling switches have been installed and we need instruction on their use.
E. The Flomation Show is Sept 24 with setuo on Sept. 23.
F. We THINK the Dothan Show is Aug 20 and 21. [Editor note: Wrong date see Events page.]
G. Thank you to Gerald Russo for greasing the trailer bearings.
H. Than you to Bob Canavello for making new stanchions.
I. Thank you to Chuch and Reed for continuing work on the new yard and turnouts.
III. Minutes from the previous meeting of May 2nd were read by Secretary Gerald Russo.
A. Correction to minutes: none.
B. The Treasurer's report was read by Treasurer Bill Little.
1. As of this date there is $2,531.39 in the treasury.
IV. Old business
A. Work on yards.
1. Work on finishing the new yard and powering the sidings on Green line.
2. Turnout into the yard on the north end need some attention.
3. The yard needs some more drops on the north end to fix some dead spots in the track.
B. Finish the Farm Module (need 1" blue foam.)
C. The trailer needs some maintenance on the left fender lights.
D. Note that the yard now has a separate power controller under the center of the new yard.
1. The toggle switch is UP for DC, center OFF, and DOWN for DCC.
V. New Business
A, We need to schedule times to accomplish our present work list.
B. We need to decide on going to Flomation and Dothan
1. Need to organize and set-up at the Flomation Show (tenative yes to attend show). Bill will move the trailer to & back.
C. Continue work on preparing for Operating sessions - currently installing new turnouts.
C. The yard now has power.
D. Comments from the Vice-President:
1. Lack of security at Mobile Show resulted in unauthorizd entry and damage to Bridge Module.
VI. Club Welfare
1. Our prayers are with Chip and Susan. (Chip was in the hospital but he is now home.)
2. We continue to lift up Steve, Donna, Rick and Reed (Reed was also in hospital.)
