Minutes of Business Meeting
of July 7, 2025
I. The business meeting was called to
order at 6:30 PM by President Charles Tucker.
A. Officers attending: President Charles Tucker,
Vice-president Steve Grenot, Treasurer Bill Little, Secretary Gerald Russo.
B.
Members: Garrett Allison, Opie Benton, Bob Canavello,
Jerry Dupont, Banks Edwards, Ed Lundberg, Chuck Mudford, Sean O’Brien, Jesse
Shealy, Barb & Sam Shilling, Mark Soltero.
II. Minutes of the previous
meeting of June 2nd were read by Secretary Gerald Russo.
A. Corrections to minutes: none. The minutes were moved
and accepted.
B. The treasurer’s report was presented by Treasurer
Bill Little. As of this date there is $2,547.92 in the treasury.
III. Announcements:
A. Next Meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on August 4, 2025.
B. Next run sessions will be on July 14, 21, and 28. July 21 will be an operating session at 6 pm.
C. We still have 2024 and 2025 cars available. Please avail yourselves of the opportunity to add some unique cars to your fleet!!
D. No date for the Flotation train show as of yet.
IV. Old Business
A. Repairs still need to be made on the club layout. (See separate sheet.)
B. Continue work on preparing for Operating sessions. (Work is in progress.)
C. Continue discussion about the trailer wrap.
1. To wrap the whole trailer approx.. $2,300-2,500
2. Magnetic sign; $50. Need computer file for logo for new show banners
D. Thank you to Chuck and Jesse for replacing the recently installed turnouts with flex-track, hopefully this will reduce the derailments on the curved sections of the club layout.
V. New Business
A. We need some how to do it clinics. Any suggestions?
B. What else needs to be accomplished over the summer?
1. Follow-up items from last meeting:
2. Remodeling trailer storage. (will follow-up when trailer is empty)
3. Plexiglas for show modules. (approx. $50 each, may consider luan instead)
4. Possible replacement of club house Roundhouse yard with 3ea 4’x4’ modules.
5. Assistance with
replacing club house siding footers. (schedule during cooler months)
6. Tags and registration for the trailer. (tags are current, need expiration dates)
7. Status of show bridge module. (remodeling is in progress) C. Comments from
the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer D. Comments by any other
members. Tutorial by Jerry Dupont on power cabinet operation.
VI. Club Welfare We continue to lift up Steve, Reed, and
Patricia Dupont.
