Minutes of Business Meeting
of July 1, 2024
I. The business meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by Vice-President Steve
Grenot.
A. Officers attending: Treasurer Bill Little, Secretary
Gerald Russo.
B. Members attending: Opie Benton, Jackie Brown, Michael Eells, Chuck Mudford, Sean O’Brien, Jesse Shealy, Mark Soltero, Bob Tribble.
II. Minutes of the previous meeting of June 3rd were read by Secretary Gerald
Russo.
A. Corrections to minutes: none
B. The minutes were moved and accepted.
III. The treasurer’s report was presented by Treasurer Bill Little. As of this date there is $3,523.06 in the treasury.
IV. Announcements:
A. Next Meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. August 5, 2024
B. Next run sessions: July 8, 15, 22, 29. July 8 is an Operations Session beginning at 6 p.m.!
C. Thank you to Bill for his hospitality!
D. The Interstate Fair will be October 17-27 with set up on Oct. 13-16. We will be in our usual location!
E. The dates for the Dothan Show are Sept. 20-22. Setup on the 19th.
V. Old Business
A. Repairs need to be made here on the club house layout. (See separate sheet.)
B. Continue work on preparing for Operating sessions- currently installing new turnouts. (Work is in progress.) Thank you to Reed for his work on the club layout‘s new turnouts.
C. Information has been sent off info to Accurail and we are awaiting the contract.
VI. New Business
A. We need to begin preparing the 9” joint tracks for use when we set up the layout at the Fair.
B. Are there any new modules in the planning stage or under construction?
C. Rick has donated his layout to the WFRR Museum. He has other items for sale.
D. A family in Pace Fla. Has HO items for sale. Information to follow.
E. Comments by any other members. A hand-held vacuum is available in the clubhouse for use to assist in keeping the layout clean.
VII. Club Welfare We continue to lift up Steve, Donna, Bob Tribble and Rick Simmons. Reed fell, broke his left femur and has had a pin placed in the break.
VIII. Meeting adjourned at 6:52pm.
